Easter chicken cupcakes

Hello chickens

For the office Easter treat this year, I made Easter chicken cupcakes. I found peeps marshmallow chickens at The Candyman store in Mt Eden, Auckland. I freakin' love this shop! I also found some sweet Easter grass there, too. It's like shredded ice-cream cone but flavoured and is perfect for, well, grass. To flavour the butter cream icing, I used rose water. I'm in love with rose water.

I made cupcakes using my old favourite recipe, which you can find here. Ice them using a pretty icing tip and add your Easter grass while it's still reasonably wet.

Take your little peeps and put a little butter cream underneath them so they stick to the grass. Add some little candy coated chocolate eggs and hello, chickens! Aren't they cute? They went down a treat and they were super easy to make.

I hope you've all had a good Easter. Next time I'll share some super cute Easter chocolate bunny cupcakes with you. These were for the family and were just as easy to make.

Until then, cherubs.
