Hello Cherubs 

This past weekend we visited a little cupcake shop called Petal in Newmarket. I'm like a child at Christmas when I go into this store and I still remember the first time I set foot inside. I wanted to buy every cupcake in there. The flavours are amazing: salted caramel, black doris plum, golden syrup, tropical mango, Hawkes Bay peach, red velvet buttermilk and, my favourite, manuka honey. 

Each little cupcake is handed to you safely in a cute box so you can take it away or give it to someone as a little gift. I think it's just beautiful how the box itself opens up like a flower and presents you with a tasty morsel. 

So go on - next time you're in Auckland sneak a peak and try a flavour you've never had before. I have it on good authority that the salted caramel will blow your mind.
